Repentent magdalen

Relgious art...

I got my start in a relgious background..growing up the daughter of a priest will do that. Designed numerous stained glass windows and other things fo r the church I grew up in... so its not surprising that I sometimes findmyself with afinished piece or two that has that thematic outlook. The two I did this year are Repentant Magdalene and Pieta...clearly familar art themes historically.

I use my camera(cell phone ) to analyze work in progress..often I'll blow up smallsections and analyze them. Ioften fall a little in love withthe snippets as the painting develops...and sometimes wish that the snippets were individual paintings themselves...some finished snips....
